HB Artisan Pop-Up: Own a piece of the Hollywood Bowl!

Posted November 12th, 2015

Clear November 20th and 21st on your calendar because you’re not going to want to miss the awesome pop-up shop coming to CRAFTED: HB Artisan, the furniture and home accessories maker who’s pieces are made from wood reclaimed from the Hollywood Bowl!

Owner, Julie Hirtzel, explains the story behind her unique business:

“Sometimes funny things happen in life… In 2014 my brother’s business replaced all of the bench seats at the iconic Hollywood Bowl and he was able to purchase the old wood from the county. HB Artisan Furniture Company is making unique home furnishings crafted from the reclaimed Hollywood Bowl bench seats. This old-growth Alaskan yellow cedar exudes beauty and is a joy to work with. Having baked in the Southern California sunshine for more than forty years, the patina on this wood is a warm grey with hints of brown. We love that this lumber originated in Alaska, was crafted into seating at one of LA’s favorite venues and is now beginning a new life as furniture and home decor in the homes of Angelenos. HB Artisan is a sustainable, responsible, female-owned company exclusively working out of Los Angeles with minimal impact on the environment. A Certificate of Authenticity comes with each piece.”

HB Artisan will only be at CRAFTED for two days, so make sure to stop by next Friday or Saturday to pick out the perfect holiday present or statement piece for your own home.
