The Dream Quilt

Posted February 19th, 2013

2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech. We celebrated the legacy of Dr. King on January 19 and 20, with a day filled with poetry, music, and art in our CRAFTED warehouse. Our visitors, fellow artists, and staff wrote their own dreams inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King on a 6 X 6 inch fabric quilt square. Once all the dreams were collected, they were sewn together into a gorgeous “I Have A Dream” quilt by Patsy of Patsy Johnson Quilts, market stall A177.

The finished product is now on display in Patsy’s booth. You can have the opportunity to bid on this phenomenal piece in our CRAFTED silent auction. Bidding begins at $100, and we are accepting bids until March 2 at 5pm. Please take a moment to visit CRAFTED and view this spectacular piece of art. Any questions please email

Portion of our proceeds are donated to fINdings Women’s Project and a local charity.
