“Altered Metal” For Jewelry Making

Sunday, October 16, 11:30AM-2:30PM

In this wonderful technique class, you’ll learn how to create your own metal components to use for earrings, necklaces, or bracelets. All supplies and tools to use are included in the price of class. Students will emboss pewter, copper, and/or brass metal blanks using Sizzix© embossing die plates and a Bigkick hand-operated press, designed for Vintaj brand metal blanks. It is all very fun! After your metal is embossed, you can leave it natural or paint it with a choice of several patina colors to mix and blend. Students will have a choice of embossing die plate designs to use and decide where on the 2”×2” die design they want their metal embossed. Several techniques and ideas will be shared in class.

This class is one, 3 hour session. Skill Level: All, ages 15 and up.

$45. All supplies included to emboss and patina two sets of metal blanks plus beads and findings. Instructor will assist students in making earrings. Additional metal blanks will be available for purchase to emboss and patina as class time permits. Instructor, Peggy Forrester is a Vintaj  distributor and students may order Vintaj supplies at the Nagare Boutique shop in CRAFTED. Please pre-register to reserve your seat.
