“a bird settled on the fire escape” brings together the work of Norberta Corral, Juliet Johnson, and Nicole Rademacher. The title quotes writer and adventurer Anais Nin, whose words embody the tension of liminal states: gathering and casting away, coming and going, origins and aspirations, longing and satiety. The crossroads at midnight. The stories we tell ourselves by candlelight.
