Color Theory for Jewelry Design

May 20, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

COLOR THEORY FOR JEWELRY DESIGN

Techniques and mechanics are only part of creating a really wonderful piece of jewelry, (painting, quilting, or other creations too). Knowing how to use contrasting and complementary colors is vital to creating visual balance in your designs. We suggest this class to all of our students because whether you’re making a simple pair of earrings or an intricate bead woven piece; how you use color can determine the “wow” factor of your work and give you confidence in what you’re designing.  In addition to the course materials, students will learn how to use an interactive on-line program and then apply color design concepts learned to complete a simple project.
